Miss Tourism set for August 29

Miss Tourism 2008 final will be held on August 29 at the Lamada Hotel in Dar es Salaam. Gideon Chipungahelo, Miss Tourism Tanzania president said yesterday that 36 contestants would start rehearsals on August 14 in the hotel.

Chipungahelo said that the winner would be awarded saloon car worth 15m/-.

The event would be sponsored by Auckland Tours and Safaris.

The Director of Auckland Tours and Safaris Albert Makoye said that the purpose of their sponsorship was to support President Jakaya Kikwete's call for individuals and private sector institutions to involve in activities that promote Tanzania tourism sector.
