Moshi to Host East Africa Youth Football

Rwanda will make its first appearance in this year's East African under-12and-16 soccer championship that kick off in moshi on june 24. Accordingto mihale kodi, who is one of the organisers,other invited teams are from Zimbwabwe,Zambia,Kenya,South Africa and the host nation.

Kodi said Rwanda was invited to participate in the event to increase the number of participants and spice up the competition.


The championship will see girls and boys from kenya,uganda and Tanzania competing in the under-12 and under-16 soccer tournaments.

The number of teams that will feature in the championship is expected to top 52.

Apart from competing in soccer,participants will also attend seminars on refereeing, first aid, Coaching and HIV/Aids.
