Precision Air comes up with more convenient scheduled flights to Dar

Air travel to Dar es Salaam from Arusha is now much more easier following.. Precision Air introduction of a second daily direct flight between the two cities. The move is designed to increase travel flexibility between the country’s two major commercial centres. The new flight will depart Dar es Salaam at 1120hours while arrivals in Arusha will be at 1235hrs.
The existing flight schedules remain the same leaving Dar es Salaam at 1350hours and arriving in Arusha at 1505 hours. The plan is to provide reliable and flexible air transport to all the country's major towns. The airline's Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr Alfonse Kioko said the new flights will start today . "We hope to receive a good response from the market," Mr Kioko said. Mr Kioko said that the airline introduced another afternoon flight from Kilimanjaro via Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam on Monday; Nairobi, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; and evening flight Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Nairobi on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Precision Air was established in 1991 and started operations in 1994. It began as a crop sprayer, but expanded to serve the growing tourist market In East Africa. Scheduled services started in November 1999 in collaboration with Air Tanzania. Originally the airline was privately owned, but Kenya Airways acquired a 49% stake for USD 2 million weeks after its rival, South African Airways' acquisition of 49% stake in Air Tanzania.The remaining 51% was retained by a Tanzanian entrepreneur Michael Ngaleku Shirima |
