Masha wants Miss Tanzania to promote tourism

The Minister for Home Affairs, Lawrence Masha, handed over the national flag to Vodacom Miss Tanzania 2008 Nasreen Karim in a farewell party in Dar es Salaam yesterday. Nasreen will represent Tanzania in Miss World beauty contest on December 13 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
"We want you to use this opportunity to publicise our tourist attractions," the minister told her.
On her part, Nasreen said Miss Tanzania Organising committee under Hashim Lundenga had prepared her well to represent the country perfectly. Vodacom Director of Marketing Ephraim Mafuru said his firm was wishing her for the best. Miss Tanzania Patron Emmanuel Ole Naiko appealed to Miss Tanzania organisers and sponsors (Vodacom) to start next year's preparations earlier. Nasreen will jet off tomorrow for Miss World.
