1 day - From your hotel to Kilimanjaro/ Marangu gate
You will leave your hotel/ lodge about 2:30AM after breakfast, then drive to Marangu entrance gate for payments. After check up with park officers, start your walking toward north-west side to Mandara huts. On your way to Mandara, take as many pictures as you can so that you may have memorable trip. Towered eucalyptus, thick rain forests and water streams will give fantastic air condition while you watch blue monkey, white and black colobus, horn bills and many other animals. You will stop for lunch and then go back to gate, catch your vehicle and drive to green hostels for camping. ![]() Mandara Huts - Kilimanjaro National Park 2 day - From Green hostels to City centre and Market. To day will be your walking day around the Moshi. After well prepared breakfast, you will be exploring a town of Moshi. Visit local market of "Mmbuyuni" an "Soko la kati". mmbuyu means baobab tree and therefore, "soko la mmbuyuni" means the baobab tree's market. "soko la kati" means central market. All of these words are Swahili words and you will hear the names be pronounced wherever you will go because these two markets are frequently visited. You will have lunch to one of town restaurant, and later you will proceed with your walking to curio shops while you are going back to green hostels for camping dinner and overnight. ![]() City Centre - Moshi 3 day - From Moshi town to hot spring of Maasai. Catch vehicle, drive to "Boma ng'ombe" town. It takes about 30 min drive one way on tarmac road. Stop at this town and have like 5 - 10min walking and acclimatize this area before getting into your vehicle. Your driver will now drive you on the rough road towards hot springs. You will learn a lot about this area. You will also meet Maasai people on your way, the only truly standing tribe in Tanzania with unchanging tradition and customs. With your lunch boxes, you will enjoy your meal afterwards, drive to Happy family cottage hostels for hot dinner and sleep. ![]() Hot Springs in Bomangombe 4 day - From Boma ngombe to Moshi by bicycle. To day you will go back to Moshi not by car but bicycle. It is a kind of heavy exercise and adventure because you will be riding a long distance and also along the tarmac road which is frequently covered with vehicles. You will reach machame road which is also a tarmac, and ride on it. This means instead of going to Moshi one way, you will turn to your left side toward "Makoa" coffee farms. Don't worry! Vehicle will be close to you in case of help if you will be tired. You will go back to meet Moshi road after lunch, and you will do camping at Green hostel. ![]() Bicycles trips in Moshi 5 day - From Moshi to Rau forest. You will check with your body if you are good to proceed with this 5ths day trip. You will walk to the jungle of Rau forest, where you will meet with aborial animals like blue monkey, white and black colobus and galagos! Birds like horn bills, doves, weavers and king fishes etc can be seen. You will enjoy your lunch close to small lake within this forest, while you watching local people of Rau village performing their works just ahead of you. Something more in this underground water forest is its sacrificed tree. The tree has more than 150yrs and is said to hold living spirits. It is the only tree within the park with such yrs.
